What makes a great place great? What is it about a place that makes us want to know more of it? We believe great places to live are the result of great planning. Planning that envisions the whole experience of being in a place: the inspiring architecture, the beauty of the landscaping, the magic of imaginative public spaces, the visual delight of a vibrant streetscape.

That's why we have in-house staff dedicated to great land design and engineering. Led by Wormald principals, our team of professional land planners and engineers spends a considerable amount of time in the master planning process, researching the local history, architecture, and community needs. We hold charrettes, engage multiple designers to "imagine" the site, seek community feedback, and work closely with area stakeholders. It's a painstaking process, one for which most builders have neither the patience nor the expertise. But we think it's worth every minute.

When we build a home, it's not a random home on a random lot, but a purposeful part of a complete composition. As master planners, we have the privilege—and advantage—of creating the whole composition, from the blank canvas right through to the finishing touches. We believe the end product is far superior than most conventional development is able to achieve.
